Privacy notice

Castro James Group collects personal information through this website. This notice explains what we collect, why we collect it and what you can do about it. It follows the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

When you fill in a form on this site, we collect what you give us: your name, email, phone number and region, and anything you tell us about your project, your land, your timing and how you plan to pay for it. The fields marked as required are what we need to reply to you. Everything else is optional. Without the required fields, we can’t respond to your enquiry.

If you arrive from one of our Google ads, the form also records the ad’s click ID, so we know which ad brought you here. On its own it doesn’t identify you.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, understand what you want to build and prepare a quote. To see which of our ads work. And, only if you tick the box, to send you the occasional guide or update. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Who sees it

Only the people working on your enquiry see it. We don’t sell your information.

Our website forms are stored by Webflow and our email by Google Workspace. Both keep information on servers outside New Zealand, including in the United States.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for up to two years from our last contact with you, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep the project records the law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email our Privacy Officer at info@cjgconstruction.co.nz and we’ll reply within 20 working days.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
